- Identification and contact details: first name, last name, email address, phone number
- Your current job or occupation, and your career goals, as you give them to us in the form
- Your preferences regarding marketing communications
- Appointment details: the time you booked and any notes you add
- Technical and behavioural data collected through cookies and similar technologies: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, how you arrived at our site, and advertising identifiers
How we collect it
You give us most of this data yourself, when you:
- fill in our application or booking form
- book a call with us
- tick a box to receive email from us
We also collect technical and behavioural data automatically through cookies and similar technologies, but only to the extent you allow it in our cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent, because the site cannot work without them.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
| What we do | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Schedule, confirm and manage your call | Performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into one (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) |
| Call or message you about a booking you started but did not finish | Our legitimate interest in following up on an enquiry you began (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) |
| Send you our newsletter and other marketing email | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) |
| Measure how our website and advertising perform | Your consent, given through the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) |
| Show you advertising on other platforms based on your visit | Your consent, given through the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) |
| Keep records we are legally required to keep | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) |
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it. For cookies, use the cookie settings link on our site. For email, use the unsubscribe link in any message.
Where we rely on legitimate interest, you can object. See "Your rights" below.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We do share it with the service providers we need in order to run our business:
| What they do for us | Provider |
|---|---|
| Website, forms, CRM and email | HubSpot |
| Scheduling your call | Calendly |
| Website and campaign analytics | Google (Google Analytics 4) |
| Advertising and advertising measurement | Google (Google Ads), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), OpenAI (ChatGPT Ads) |
| Tag management | Google (Google Tag Manager) |
The analytics and advertising providers only receive data about you if you consent to the matching cookie category in our banner. If you refuse, or simply ignore the banner, nothing is sent to them at all.
To be clear about one thing: our analytics is not anonymous. Google Analytics uses identifiers that can single out your device, which makes it personal data. That is exactly why we ask for your consent first.
We may also share data where we are legally required to, for example with a supervisory authority or in response to a lawful request.
Where your data goes outside the EU
The data we hold in HubSpot, which includes your form submissions and our contact with you, is stored in the European Union.
Google, Meta and OpenAI are based in the United States and may process your data there or in other countries outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or both. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards that apply.
How long we keep it
- Appointment and application data: up to 12 months after your last contact with us
- Newsletter and marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent
- Google Analytics: event data for 2 months, user-level data for 14 months
- Cookies: for the lifetime of each cookie, or until you clear your preferences
- Records we must keep by law: for as long as the law requires
If you give us permission, we may send you emails with tips, updates or news. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link, or by emailing us.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- rectification of data that is inaccurate or incomplete
- erasure of your data, in the circumstances the law provides for
- restriction of how we process your data
- object to processing we base on legitimate interest, including profiling
- data portability, to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format, or have it sent to another organisation
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
To exercise any of these, email support@kubecraft.dev. We will respond within one month. If your request is complex we may extend that by two months, and we will tell you if we do.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device. We also use similar technologies such as tracking pixels, which work the same way for the purposes of this policy.
We use four categories:
- Strictly necessary — these make the site work: security, load balancing and remembering your cookie choice. These are always set, because the site cannot function without them.
- Analytics — these tell us how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. Set only with your consent.
- Advertising — these let us measure our advertising and show you ads on other platforms based on your visit. Set only with your consent.
- Functionality — these remember preferences that make the site nicer to use. Set only with your consent.
How to manage your cookies
Use the cookie settings link on our site to change your choice at any time, per category. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; see allaboutcookies.org for instructions. Blocking cookies may affect how the site works.
Other websites
Our site links to other websites. This policy covers only our own site. If you follow a link elsewhere, read that site's privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
We review this policy regularly and update it when our practices change. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
How to contact us
This company is run by a DevOps engineer who is not a fan of Big Tech collecting personal data. We use analytics and advertising tools because we need them to reach the people we can help, and we ask your permission before any of them run. If you see something in this policy or in our practice that does not sit right with you, tell us, and we will look at it.

How to contact the supervisory authority
If you are not satisfied with how we handled your concern, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), or with the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.
